I have a 2001 4x4 quad cab and it has a little over 46,000 miles. I'm getting the same noises from the front end only when going up and down hills, and going over bumps. Any one have a clue what is exactly causing this problem?

I have a 99 dodge dakota v6 3.9L 2wd and im experiencing the same problems with the grinding in the front end when taking corners, i've had the rotors replaced, seemed to help for a while, but the noise is back now, I fixed one of the ball joints (drivers side) so maybe i just need to get the passenger side also? Let me know if anyone else has had this problem or a solution

Found out my noise was my sway bar bushings. I've greased them up and so far so good. I may have to invest in new ones, but it seems as if the problems persists even if you do. I've been finding out that the only way to fix this problem is to buy an aftermarket sway bar. Any other suggestions let me know.

I seem to have the same problem with my 1999 dakota 4x4 with 70,000 mi. My sound seems to only happen when you turn L or R from a complete stop, and usually only after driven several highway miles. Around town, drives fine. Any advice......
This is my first 4x4,but the sound sounds like a CV joint problem on a FWD.
