Subject: 2 12's in box in ext cab IP: Logged
Message: IM considering buying some subs off a friend.
He has 2 12 inch kickers in a box with an mtx
amp, not sure of the watts. The box is pretty
big but i think i could lay it on my back seat.
What direction should i have the subs facing?
I have an eclipse 3403 deck with 4 eclipse 3
way 6.5's. So this should sound really good if i
can get it set up right. What should i offer this
guy for his subs?

Message: $200 I kind of doubt that he will sell it for that, but don't pay more than $300

Message: I'm not to knowledgable on Kicker products. But has a rule of thumb a wouldn't pay more than 75% of the original cost for anything used. Ask him the model numbers etc. and look them up on the internet. I would offer 50% of the cost of them new. depending on the quality of the box add $20-$100.
As for the direction to face them, I would face them down, but you cant becuase the seat is there. I Removed my seat and had many different systems in my CC, and i found the best sounding bass came from the box pointing down. Next best would be to face them up. Mine sounds pretty good facing up, althought mine are at 45 degree angles as well.
